A workshop designed for parents navigating one of the biggest questions of our time:

How do we raise children who care about the planet without passing on fear or helplessness?

Climate change can feel overwhelming, especially when we think about the world our children will inherit. But understanding the challenge can also be the first step towards feeling empowered.

Using the internationally recognised Climate Fresk methodology, this 2.5-hour interactive workshop will help you connect the dots between the causes and consequences of climate change through science, conversation, and collaboration.

Together, we will explore not only what is happening to our planet, but also how we respond as parents, families, and communities.

Understand

Explore the science behind climate change and connect the causes and consequences in a simple, visual, and engaging way.

Reflect

Create space to acknowledge the emotions that climate change can bring — worry, sadness, uncertainty, or even guilt — and discover ways to hold these feelings with compassion.

Empower

Explore how we can talk to children about climate change, model positive action, and help them develop a sense of connection, hope, and agency.

Who is this for?

This workshop is for parents and carers who:

  • Want to better understand climate change and its impacts
  • Are wondering how to talk about climate issues with their children
  • Want to support their children without creating fear or anxiety
Feel concerned about the future and are looking for constructive ways forward
  • Believe that connection, community, and small actions can create meaningful change
  • Prefer learning through discussion, reflection, and collaboration rather than lectures

No previous knowledge of climate science is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore together.
